The death penalty ๐Ÿ’€โ˜ ๏ธ

The death penalty,
Is it inhumane or barbaric to use such a method of punishment in a modern day society?
Before delving into such a controversial topic we should first be fully aware of the fact that in some countries across the globe there are actually governments which still utilize the death penalty in the name of justice.
Firstly to mention is Singapore; whom mentioned recently to have passed and acted on the law where drug traffickers will be hanged.
As we all know throughout history people have been executed for various offences where the severity of their crime was a factor in how they were eliminated from existence.
Throughout earlier periods of society ranging from biblical times onward it is known that person’s could be justifiably killed for acts such as: treason, blasphemy, theft even adultery; and could face this fate by means of stoning, guillotine, being burnt alive and the list continues.
Perhaps these forms of punishment were so prevalent in the considered darker ages because life seemed to have less meaning and people had less rights which is a possibility but not an absolute conclusion.
In a more modern era it is a well known fact that many have been executed by means of firing squad, electrocution and even lethal injection; but these persons were criminals so who cares.
At what point did societies worldwide decide that death is too harsh of a punishment? where in many cases once upon a time an individual would be executed; that has been replaced with life imprisonment.
Consider the term innocent until proven guilty,
While it is evident that to be incarcerated there must be a reason for that incarceration; many have been falsely accused, many have been framed to bare the punishment while the perpetrator walks away scotch free.
Imagine in such a scenario where an innocent person may be executed, a situation like that in itself will bring forth complications in the concept of justful execution and as such have caused judicial systems to adjust where at one point convicts sentenced to death would have been expeditiously eliminated, but on account of these intricacies the process has become more lenghtened to ensure that the party facing the sentence is actually guilty thus deserving of this fate.
In predicaments like these that is where the factor of solid evidence comes into play and this is basically in the acknowledgement of human rights.
For the sake of avoiding the violation of human rights the death penalty have been totally abolished by many governments which is perfectly understandable; but inย  cases where some individuals within society have carried out some heinous, despicable acts where caught red handed would they not be regarded deserving of such punishment.
Consider persons whom have perpetrated acts of terrorism and indulged inย  soulless activities such as the slaughtering of innocent infants or even sexual perversions where children have suffered and been traumatized by callous predators.
Do they deserve to live?
Would the world need people like those for any upliftment or be of any benefit to society?
We are all human but In scenarios where persons have nullified their sense of humanity to carry out such horrendous deeds why should they still be treated as individuals who are morally sound?
We all have one life and life is precious despite certain contradictions beheld through the casualties and unfortunate circumstances for many in mankind; but in a case of appropriate punishment in reciprocity for heart wrenching misdeeds carried out by some befitting as scum ,it is clear that common sense and moral justification should come into play so in situations where an individual may be contemplating their next course of actions they might actually reconsider knowing what the inevitable outcome will be.
